Huntsville, AL – (March 12, 2015) Schwarze Industries, manufacturer of some of the finest, most durable, quality power sweeping equipment in the world, has recently become a sponsor of a solar panel array that will make a positive impact on the lives of U.S. veterans and our environment.

By joining SolarCure’s “Adopt-a-Solar Panel” Marketing Program, they will sponsor a solar panel that will be installed as part of a complete solar array on the roof of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6061 thus truly making a lasting difference in the lives of Veterans. With reduced or eliminated electricity bills, it will allow the VFW to allocate more funds toward their organization’s mission and re-invested back to Veterans!

The “Adopt-a-Solar-Panel” Marketing Program

Program participants demonstrate their patriotism and sustainability regarding economic and environmental issues by sponsoring part of a solar panel installation destined for a veteran based nonprofit organization.
By helping our veterans and the environment, each program sponsor adds purpose to their profit by creating a brand with social impact.
The “Adopt-a-Solar-Panel” marketing program reduces U.S. carbon emissions through the use of renewable solar energy by providing Veteran nonprofits with 100% free Solar Panel installations sponsored by private and public companies.

In addition to the fact that non-profits can generate additional income through SRECs (Solar Renewable Energy Credits), each solar installation also helps create and sustain jobs for civilians and veterans in our country.
When asked how it feels to simultaneously help our veterans and the environment, Greg Heyer, Schwarze Industries VP Sales & Marketing, said “We’re able to help the environment and the veterans at the same time with this great program. It was a unique situation for us and one that we are excited to be a part of.”

Cox Printers Selected for Pilot Solar Panel Program Supporting VFW Posts

209717_cox-printers-solarcure

WOODBRIDGE, NJ–( – Dec 11, 2013) – Cox Printers has so much green they are giving it away. The New Jersey printer located in Linden already has a 36-kilowatt solar energy system and two wind turbines on its roof, partially powering a five-color press and pre-press operations. Now Cox has decided to share the wealth of solar energy.

Cox is sponsoring a portion of a solar panel installation that will be installed on a local Veterans of Foreign Wars post to provide clean, renewable energy and financial savings to the post. The Adopt-a-Solar-Panel program combines the causes of green energy, veterans in need of employment — SolarCure employs veterans for promotion and installation — and support for the nonprofit community. Program participants receive the benefit of green branding and publicity from their sponsorship.

Cox Printers has long been branded as green printers. In addition to the solar installation and wind turbines, the commercial printer recycles more than 10,000 pounds of paper each month and planning for their 2014 campaign to plant trees each month based on their paper consumption; uses non-petroleum-based inks; recycles its wooden skids into industrial-grade mulch; has high-efficiency lighting throughout the building; and maintains a roof garden to help with water runoff. The flowers are pollinated by the printer’s own two honey bee hives housed on the roof which yielded 60 pounds of honey for this fall’s harvest.

“All this costs money but we do it for three reasons,” said Mike Kaufman, president and owner of Cox Printers. “First, I’m a father and I feel it’s the right thing to do, to leave the planet better than I found it. And it’s not hard to do.

“Second, as an investment it eventually breaks even — we’re saving $500 to $600 a month off of our electric bill plus the value of the solar SREC’s. Third, there’s the benefit of public relations. If you are a person or a company who claims to care about your environmental report card, when you work with us your printing is done by the greenest printer in New Jersey and beyond.”

For Kaufman, the opportunity to participate in SolarCure’s Adopt-a-Solar-Panel Program is another chance to “walk the walk,” he said. “I can donate to a veteran cause, train a veteran and put a solar panel on a VFW post. Show me the negative.”

Cox Printers’ services include: full-color printing; digital print; variable data; PURLs; direct mail; business stationary; collateral printing; cross media marketing systems; posters; graphic design; and website work. Founded in 1907, the company serves business of all sizes throughout the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area. To learn more about their green endeavors call 908-928-1010 or email .
